Using packet writing software
Always be prepared!

“Packet writing is a term for software that lets you record data onto a DVD/CD disk directly from Windows Explorer, My Computer, or from the File/Save As section of any computer program. Simply put, it lets you treat a CD as though it were a big floppy disk.”

Genie Outlook Backup enables you to backup directly to DVD/CD using Packet writing. Note however that Genie Outlook Backup does not have a built-in packet writing component, but rather depends on existing software -which usually ships with your DVD/CD drive- such as Roxio DirectCD, DLA, InCD, Instant write etc…

Also it is not recommended to install more than one CD/DVD writing software; as this might create conflict in your Windows system.

Note:
Some packet writing software will lock your drive so that no other software can access the drive, Genie Outlook Backup will detect the presence of such software and show you the drive name with the textDirect Packet Writing Drive
